Updating Nokia Phones via Phoenix Software

To update your phone, follow these step by step instructions accurately.

Requirements:

i. Navifirm Software
ii. Phoenix Service Software
iii. Nokia PC Suite
iv. Nokia OVI Suite
v. Computer
vi. Data Cable
vii. Nokia Phone
viii. Firmware

Note: Nokia C3-00 was used in this manual. All other phones may be supported by this manual.
Instructions:

1. Download Phoenix Service Software here: (http://www.mediafire.com/?d8cyi8d79n5bt9i) and install on computer.
2. Download Nokia PC Suite here: (http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/pc-suites/compatibility-and-download) and install on computer.
3. Search and download Navifirm.
4. Backup your phone using Nokia OVI Suite/PC Suite.
5. Open Navifirm. It will search automatically for list of available Nokia phones.
 

6. Choose your phone, then the latest firmware. Choose the variants available.
7. After selecting the specific variant, firmware files will appear. Check all then click Download from FiRe.
8. Save the file here, C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nokia\DataPackage\Products.
9. Wait for the download to finish.
10. Connect your phone on your computer and select Nokia Ovi Suite/PC Suite on the phone prompt.
11. Open Phoenix Service Software. Make sure it will read your phone's USB connection and select USB# - RM-614 so it will look like this.

 

12. Click File then Scan Product.

13. Wait for Phoenix Service Software to detect your phone. Phone Firmware version will appear on lower part of Phoenix. (e.g. RM-614, V 07.25, 26-11-10, © Nokia)

14. Click Flashing then Firmware Update…

 

…after clicking, it will appear like this.

15. Click Browse button (…) on Firmware Update window and wait for the popup to appear showing your firmware available that was saved on your computer.

 16. Uncheck Detect Product Automatically and click OK.
17. Click Refurbish.

18. Flashing will begin. Wait for the countdown to appear.

19. While the Phoenix is counting down, remove phone battery without disconnecting from the computer then reinsert the battery on the phone.
20. Switch the phone ON.
21. After switching the phone ON, wait for Phoenix to proceed until it finish flashing. While flashing proceeds, the phone will switch OFF.

 

22. Your phone will remain OFF , and if you turn it on, it says: "test mode". It’s normal. Just remove the battery and USB connector. Reinsert the battery and switch your phone ON.
23. You have now updated your phone to its latest firmware version. Restore the backup files on your phone.
